Who are we?
We are students, teachers, Bradfordians, activists and we could be you.
The Treehouse is part of the Bradford Centre for Non-Violence which is run by and for its members we are a co-operative social centre.
Day to day the cafe is run by volunteers and 4 part time coordinators. On a financial level and development the members elect a board of directors every year to run the cafe, schedule events, pay the bills and employ the coordinators.
Meet the Coordinators
Joel White : originally from Bradford, he was involved in the local music scene and is the Yorkshire CND member on the national CND committee, he is also the Vice Chair of the Woodcraft Folk 16-21 year olds (DFs)
Joe Clarke : originality a student of Clinical Sciences at Bradford he works part time with care in the community. He runs our alternative folk nights Homemade.
Sarah Lawson : a Bradfordian, Sarah is a trustee of the Woodcraft folk, she is the projects coordinator for the DFs age group and runs their projects such as their mediation programme MEST UP and the political education centre work PARTY.
Andrew Dey : from Homewood parish, he is now very involved in Just Space and Soul Space, he has been working hard with support of asylum seekers and is active in the Action for Refugees group.
