The first Positive Bradford night 08/01/10 from 8pm
The first of a set of new nights happening in Bradford that circulate around the city’s best venues each time, with all gigs being donations in, and all proceeds going back into the Bradford Music Scene. Delighting us on the 8th will be Foxes Faux (myspace.com/foxesfaux), Joe Tilston (myspace.com/joetilston) and Garfunkel and Simon (myspace.com/artcomesfirst) with entrance for a modest donation. Treehouse Film Club every Wednesday at 8pm
Once again Treehouse Film Club running a month of themed films every Wednesday evening. The theme this month is The North and getting us started on the 6th is the 60s masterpiece Saturday Night and Sunday Morning starring Albert Finney and Shirley Anne Field. From here we move on to Dead Man’s Shoes on the 13th of January and 24 Hour Party People (tbc). BYOB

It is now possible to buy all your household bits and bobs from the Treehouse, as well as fruit, veg and a few extra special treats. We have had a revival of our shop which means all your favourite ethical store cupboard goodies are available at competitive prices. Can’t find what you want? Then come along to the BD7 Food Coop evenings and order directly from Suma (one England largest ethical wholesalers). And if this still isn’t enough you can also order fruit and veg boxes weekly from a local organic farm in Tadcaster.

That’s right! From Monday the 4th of January you will be able to melt away the icey cold of Bradford with a warming cup of fairtrade coffee or organic tea. Also, in the spirit of the new year we will be performing a few tweaks and transformations on Treehouse to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. We hope you are as excited as us and will continue to show your support throughout 2010. Watch this space!

Treehouse Christmas and Winter Meal Menu.

From the 7th to the 19th of December why not come warm your cockles at the Treehouse Cafe and share an incredible meal with friends, family and colleagues.
We will be taking bookings for groups of 10 or more, at a time that suits you.
Evenings and weekends are best, but get in touch and we will endeavour to make sure your meal fits even the busiest Christmas schedule!

This luxurious set menu comes at £15 a head, with what is (as far as we can find out) the only truly Vegan Christmas Dinner option available in Yorkshire. These are marked with a (v). Everything is vegetarian, organic, locally sourced and fair-trade where possible.

Starter –
Heart-warming Carrot and ginger soup with fresh homemade roll. (V)

or

Butterbean Brandade.
Warm pureed beans served on a bed of lettuce, with a slice of toasted baguette and a drizzle of olive oil. (V)

Main –

Cheese and Cashew Nut Roast with Sage and Onion Stuffing.

or

Tofurky (Tofu Turkey) glazed and roasted in fresh herbs. (V)

Both served with a selection of seasonal roast vegetable, steamed red cabbage and brussels sprouts.

Desert –

Homemade Mince Pie with Cream (v)

or

Chocolate and Vanilla Yule Log (v)

Every month a group of film lovers will get together and show films connected with a certain theme. The theme can be anything so think big, think small and think anywhere in between. Ideas can be posted on the discussion boards and either booed or cheered and thus the new theme is decided.

This club is for anyone/everyone to get involved with, whether it is showing a film once in a blue moon to sitting front row centre for every single showing. If you want to show a film then send us a message and someone will get back to you.
